With over 20 years of grooming experience and a lifelong passion for animals, Nickey brings calm confidence and expert care to every interaction. Known for her intuitive understanding of dog behavior, she creates a grooming and boarding experience that feels more like a second home than a service.
Inspired by the animal-first philosophies of Cesar Millan, Nickey’s approach is rooted in respect, consistency, and compassion. Whether she’s managing the barn or calming a nervous pup on the grooming table, Nickey leads with trust—and dogs follow.

Loyal and calm, he’s the heart of the team—and every dog’s favorite big brother.

Dingo is Nickey’s right-hand pup and the quiet force behind the scenes at A Bark Above. A loyal cattle dog with a calm presence and a watchful eye, she rarely leaves Nickey’s side. Dingo may not be the loudest on the farm, but her steady spirit and gentle heart make her a grounding presence for the whole pack. She keeps the flow moving with grace—and maybe a nudge or two when needed.

A goofy, lovable fixture on the farm, Ellie adores scratches, belly rubs, and making friends with everyone she meets (four-legged or two). Her cheerful oinks and easygoing nature have earned her a special place in the pack. Deep down, Ellie’s just a dog in pig’s clothing—loyal, affectionate, and always ready for some attention.
